IncubateHub is a B2B consulting company that conducted a hiring hackathon for a Finance Tracker mobie application for UI/UX Designers.
The problem statement was to design an app that lets users manage their finances, track their expenses, payments and also educate them on concepts of investments and tax saving.
Through extensive user research and market analysis, I identified 4 critical problem areas affecting user adoption and engagement.
Recording income and expenses is time-consuming, and without automation users lose consistency.
Without budgeting or forecasting, users overspend and struggle financially.
Endless, conflicting online advice leaves users overwhelmed, confused, and unsure whom to trust.
Sharing expenses with others is complicated, often causing confusion and missed contributions.
The design strategy focused on creating a simple, educational, and trustworthy mobile experience that would guide users through their financial journey with confidence.
The design demonstrated strong skills in problem-solving, user-centered design, and won 1st place in the hackathon contest.
